Copy-move forgery nowadays is very popular in life-sciences. With the clone-tool of an image manipulation software ist easy to copy parts of an image into other image regions. In this case small horizontal DNA-bands hve been copied into other parts of the gel. Since the fragile PAA-gel was damaged a large area at the bottom of the image was heald by image maniputaion software as well.

There a many approaches to detect copy-move forgeries. Durch rechenintensive Methoden oder gezielte Vereinfachung gelingt es inzwischen, kopierte Bildregionen sichtbar zu machen und Retuschen nachzuweisen.
